It's the beginning of a new month and therefore, a new challenge!

Since it's Back-to-School season, for this month's challenge, we're going back to the basics.

And by basics, I mean SCALES!

For this challenge, I want you to video yourself playing at least one scale of your choice. Here are the parameters:

• If you are a beginner, choose one scale (yes, C Major is fine!) and play it hands separately, up and down one octave
• If you are intermediate or advanced, chose one scale (Major or minor) and play it hands together, up and down at least two octaves

Don't have a piano?

• If you don't have a piano at your disposal, then video yourself singing a scale with solfeggio and hand signals, up and down one octave

That's it! So let's get those scales on!! Happy September!

Here we are! Our first challenge!

This "challenge" is not really a challenge but a fun way to share our favorite songs.

Share a video of a favorite song - this can be a performance by YOU (we'd LOVE to see that!) or a performance of another artist. 

And with your shared video, write a little something about why this song is important to you.

We can't wait to see what you come up with!
